Posted by Master of Drankgons on

Tomorrowland is one of the biggest electronic music festivals held in the world, taking place in Boom, Belgium.  The festival takes place July 22-24th in the town of Boom, 16 kilometers south of Antwerp, 32 kilometers north of Brussels, and has been organized since 2005. Tomorrowland has since become one of the most notable global music festivals.  This year's lineup featured DeadMau5, Alesso, Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, David Guetta, Galantis, Afrojack, Steve Aoki, and more. But let's be honest: The real draw here is the amazing DRAGON STAGE they made for this year. I will let the pictures do...

DGT #23: Charizard (Pokemon)

Posted by Master of Drankgons on

I have been holding off on profiling a Pokémon, but with the recent domination of Pokémon Go, I cannot wait any longer. It's time for Charizard to make his debut. An orange, draconic Pokémon, Charizard is the evolved form of Charmeleon, which is the evolved form of Charmander. You might know Charmander better, as he is one of the initial Pokémon you can pick in the Pokémon Go craze that is sweeping the nation.  But Charmander is not a dragon. Charizard most definitely is. Look at those wings, claws, horn, tail, and fierce stare! Dragon for sure. Originally called "Lizardon" in Japanese, Nintendo decided to give the...

DGT #21: The Dragon Temple (Wat Sampran in Thailand)

Posted by Master of Drankgons on

Yes, this building actually exists in the world. It's called the Dragon Temple, a.k.a. Wat Samphran, located near Bangkok, Thailand. And like the ancient Panda Village in Kung Fu Panda 3, it's shrouded in mystery... I searched over 15 google articles and could not find out any details about the temple such as when it was built, who designed it, or why this 17-story tower is in the clutches of a massive, beautiful dragon.  It doesn't even have a wikipedia page. I guess the locals want to keep all of this a secret, which can only mean...

DGT #20: Saphira (Eragon)

Posted by Master of Drankgons on

This week's Drankgon Tale is one of my favorite dragons of all time. Saphira is the main dragon in the Eragon book series written by Christopher Paolini. There are four total books in the series, which I highly recommend to everyone. The author wrote the first book when he was 17 years old! That's pretty incredible. I am just disappointed that they totally screwed up the movie Eragon so badly that they could not even finish the series. I mean seriously, how bad does one have to make a movie adaptation of such a popular book series that no more movies come out in the series! I just wish...
